Sailing Highlights

Originally from the Pacific Northwest, Cathy, along with her husband have been sailing for almost 40 years with over 100,000 sea miles together. As well as circumnavigating, they have also sailed from Alaska through the Panama Canal, the Caribbean and up the East Coast of the US to Nova Scotia, Canada.

Memberships include: Explorer's Club, Circumnavigators' Club, US Sailing Organization, Ocean Cruising Club, Seven Seas Cruising Assn., Corinthian Yacht Club of San Francisco, Annapolis Yacht Club, AYC Foundation, the Vallarta Yacht Club (Mexico), the Niue Yacht Club (Niue), the Musket Cove Yacht Club (Fiji), the Zululand Yacht Club (South Africa), Sail Nauticus/Nauticus National Maritime Center and the National Sailing Hall of Fame.

Professional Highlights

Cathy was formerly a Vice President with a major San Francisco Bay Area bank. As one of three Northern California commercial loan hub officers, she held a key sales and marketing role as the Silicon Valley regional hub officer providing bank financing for rapid growth technology firms and Fortune 1000 companies. She was also a Branch Management Officer in San Francisco for Barclays Bank of England. Other related professional highlights include serving as a member of the County of San Mateo, CA, Housing Program based in the San Francisco Bay Area. Also, Cathy was appointed by the Mayor of Foster City, CA, to serve on the city's Housing Advisory. In addition she has served on the Pacific Northwest University Medical School Regional Advisory, the Northwest Museum of Arts & Culture Executive Leadership Council, the Eastern WA State Mobius Science Center Campaign Advisory and the Regional Spokane, WA Library Foundation.

Additionally, she enjoys world-wide travel, such as, China and extensive European trips and downhill skiing.

Philanthropy Highlights

Global and local giving has given Cathy the opportunity to promote good will among countries and individuals. In 2010 she was awarded the City of Spokane Individual Benefactor's Award. Recent philanthropy includes: Cyclone PAM Relief in Vanuatu near Fiji, South Africa's Hoedspruit Endangered Species Centre, International Junior Sailing in Banderas Bay, Mexico, and in the USA, The National Sailing Hall of Fame, The Annapolis Yacht Club Foundataion, Arts and Sciences, Public Radio and a regional Medical School.
